An arrest has been made in the November murder of a Maple Springs Road man. Troy Lynn King, 41, was recently arrested and charged with first-degree murder, felony murder and theft over $1,000 in the murder of 41-year-old Thomas Colucci. He was found shot in his Maple Springs Road residence on the morning of Nov. 13, 2012 after his girlfriend Connie King ran to the roadway asking for passer byers for help. At the time she stated that someone broke into the residence and shot Colucci and beat her up. They then left in the dead man’s vehicle, which was later found in the Manchester area. According to Sheriff’s Capt. Frank Watkins, investigators developed information that pointed to King as the person committing the murder. Investigators from the sheriff’s department and the U.S. Marshal’s Service from Chattanooga and San Diego, CA developed leads that he had moved to the San Diego area,. He was arrested March 6 in Imperial Beach, CA without incident. Watkins stated that King is currently fighting extradition back to Coffee County. When asked how long the process of him battling being returned to face charges would take, Watkins stated 30 to 90 days. Colucci was engaged to King’s estranged wife, according to investigators. The investigation into the murder is continuing and an additional arrest is expected. King awaits extradition back to Coffee County, TN to face his charges.
On March 5, 2013 the Coffee County Grand Jury indicted 41 year old Troy Lynn King on charges of 1st degree murder, felony murder and theft over $1,000.00.
