Preds Add Players

Desperate to add scoring punch, the Nashville Predators claimed forward Zach Boychuk off the NHL’s waiver wire Tuesday.
He’s their second wire claim in two days. They claimed Bobby Butler Monday.
Boychuk was the 14th overall pick of the 2008 NHL Draft and was a member of back-to-back Canadian World Junior Championship teams. His NHL career has not gone so well.
Boychuk has just 7 goals and 11 assists in only 80 career games with Pittsburgh and Carolina.
The Predators are last in the NHL in scoring and Boychuk has shown some offensive punch in the minors. Last season he had 16 goals and 16 assists in only 37 games with the Hurricanes primary minor league team the Charlotte Checkers.
The Predators are home for back to back games Friday and Saturday night with Edmonton, Minnesota coming to town.
