The Tullahoma Board of Mayor and Aldermen approved a disc golf project Monday. The project on city-owned property next to East Middle School brought concerns about the site being in a swamp area. The course project was approved 5-1 with Alderman Jimmy Blanks voting in opposition. Alderman James Eads was absent. Blanks said he had taken the time to walk through the planned 18-hole course area, and a large section of the second nine holes is in a swamp area. He said he has concerns about additional drainage work that would be needed and whether the other board members have considered what the effects to the overall cost might be.
