Funeral Services for Mrs. Jean Floyd, age 75, of Manchester will be held Thursday, February 28, 2013 at 2:00 PM at the Coffee County Funeral Chapel with Brother Eddie Canady officiating.
Burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be held Wednesday from 5 PM to 9 PM at the funeral home.
Mrs. Floyd passed away Monday, February 25, 2013 at St. Thomas Hospital.
Mrs. Floyd was born September 1, 1937 in Manchester, Tennessee. She was the daughter of the late Claude and Ethel Lowery Poff. Mrs. Floyd worked for twenty-five years at United Regional Medical Center and as a cashier at the local Wal-mart. She enjoyed traveling to Gatlinburg and Tunica and planning family gatherings. Mrs. Floyd also loved to cook and go fishing. Mrs. Floyd enjoyed supporting all her grandchildren in their activities. She was a member of the Baptist faith.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Billy Floyd, one daughter, Susie Gilliam, three brothers Raymond, Roy and Glen Poff, and one sister Shirley Nippers.
Mrs. Floyd is survived by two daughters Phyllis Daniel and husband Kenny of Lynchburg, Tammy Syler Rosson of Tullahoma, son-in-law, Bradley Gilliam of Manchester, two sons Billy Ray Floyd and wife Karen of Manchester, and Ricky Floyd and wife Chris of Tullahoma, twelve grandchildren, Joey and Stephanie Gilliam, Porscha and Jessica Daniel, Zach, Jennifer, and Andy Rosson, Stephen Syler, Amber Webb, Sarah Jones, David Snell, and Collin Ray Floyd, and six great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
