Last night (Feb. 20) F in Columbia the Motlow basketball teams took on Columbia St. In the ladies game Motlow struggled shooting falling behind 31-23 at the half. In the 2nd half Columbia St would pull away for a 61-49 win. LeKera Taylor came off the bench to lead the Lady Bucks with 18 and Kaley Rogers added 15.
In the men’s game Motlow got off to a terrible start scoring only 9 points in first 12 minutes of action and trailed 29-28 at halftime. The Bucks got rolling in the 2nd half leading by as much as 20 points. Motlow moved to 21-3 on the season with the 80-63 win. The Bucks had 4 players hit double figures; D.J. Jones 16, Perrin Buford 14, Sean Gardner 13 and Chris Hawkins had 11.
Motlow ranked 21st in the nation will travel to Jackson St on Saturday for the final regular season game of the year.
