CAROLYN LOUISE SWAFFORD GOLDEN, age 68, of Huntland, Tenn., departed this life on Sunday, February 17, 2013 at Huntsville Hospital in Huntsville, Ala. following a brief illness.
She was born July 15, 1944 in Jackson County, Alabama to the late Willie “Buck” and Estelle Sanders Swafford.
She was a 1963 graduate of Paint Rock Valley School. Most of her life was spent putting family first as a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was also known for her personality, always bringing a smile and a laugh to those around her. Ms. Golden was a home-maker and a member of Mt. Nebo Baptist Church in Hollytree, Ala.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 21 years, Glen Golden and grandsons; Chad Swafford and Carson Prince and a half-sister, Mabel Bostick.
She is survived by her children; Tim Swafford, Joey (Kelly) Golden, Lisa (Johnny) Elrod, Kim (Bojo) Logan all of Huntland, JoAnn (Bret) Prince of Estill Fork, Ala., brothers; Will and Randy Swafford, of Jackson Couonty Alabama. Her grandchildren meant the world to her and called her “Grano” they are; Faith Elrod, Drake Kelly, Hunter Prince, Ali Golden, Taylor Elrod, Maddux Golden, Jayton Prince, Zeier Golden, Paisley Logan and Gentry Prince.
Visitation for Ms. Carolyn is scheduled for 5:00-8:00 P.M. Tuesday Evening at Huntland First Baptist Church.
Services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Wednesday at Huntland First Baptist Church.
Interment will follow in the Lee Cemetery in Huntland.
