Manufacturers Looking At Coffee County

The Coffee County Joint Industrial Board last week learned that there has been an apparent increase in visits from prospective manufacturers considering locations in or near the board’s five industrial parks.
The board was told during its monthly meeting last week that there have been several visits in the last month and a half from six prospective manufacturers, two of which were returning for a second time.
Officials explained that a Japanese firm has looked at a site. Plus a defense-related company is looking for 250 to 500 acres with plenty of buffer, so they are submitting two different properties for them, one near AEDC.
