Rumor Information About AEDC Cuts Answered

We reported to you recently about possible severe budget cuts could be coming to Arnold Engineering Development Complex. Rumors have been swirling concerning job cuts and hours being reduced. Congress is working on budget issues that could bring cuts to the Air Force budget by as much as $1.8 billion. These possible cuts could create a civilian hiring freeze as soon as April at A.E.D.C. WHMT News talked with A.E.D.C. Spokesman Jason Austin yesterday and he says there has been nothing set in stone. He says various scenarios are being discussed but at this time the Air Force has only canceled all non-essential travel, flying activities and studies.
