Robert “Bob” N. Haynes, 83, of Tullahoma peacefully passed away Monday, February 11th, 2013 at his residence.
He was a native of Ellsworth, Maine and a graduate of the University of Maine.
He was an engineer at AEDC and ETF starting in 1958 until he retired in 1990. After that he was a consultant on various space projects across the U.S. until the late 90′s. He was an active member of First United Methodist Church, having sung in the choir, worked in Outreach programs, taught Sunday School and served on various administrative boards through the years.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Fran Haynes; two sons, Don Haynes(Mary) of Mt. Juliet and Mike Haynes(Gina) of Franklin; three grandchildren, Nick, Liz and Molly; a brother, Peter Haynes of Yarmouth, Maine and one sister, Anne Emerson of Gorham, Maine.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 16th at 2pm, with visitation to follow, at the First United Methodist Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in his honor may be made to First United Methodist Church or Partners For Healing.
