Funeral services for Mr. Thomas Meadows Cooper, age 84, of Shelbyville, will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday Feb. 12, 2013 in the chapel of Doak-Howell Funeral Home with Geoff Giesemann & Russ Countess officiating.
Burial will follow in Willow Mount Cemetery.
Mr. Cooper passed from this life Saturday Feb. 9, 2013 at Baptist Hospital in Nashville.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 until 8:00 pm Monday evening at the funeral home.
Born August 7, 1928 in Wartrace, TN, he was the son of the late Ellis Cooper & Catherine Meadows Cooper and was preceded in death by his wife Virginia Elizabeth Crosslin Cooper on Jan. 30, 2001. Before his retirement, Mr. Cooper was Director of Procurement at AEDC. He was a member of Fairlane Church of Christ.
Survivors; son Thomas M. (Debra) Cooper, Jr. of Shelbyville, grandchildren, Jennifer (Eric) Weide, Sarah Cooper & Thomas M. Cooper III, sister-in-law Ethel McCallie and several nieces & nephews.
Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association .
