Funeral services for Mrs. Evelyn L. Irwin, age 84, of Shelbyville, will be held 11am Monday February 11, 2013 at Doak-Howell Funeral Home with Dr. Kent Lewis and Pastor Alex Hoffner officiating.
Burial to follow in the Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Irwin passed away suddenly Wednesday February 6, 2013.
Visitation with the family will be Sunday from 4-8 pm at the funeral home.
A native of the Halls Mill community in Bedford County, Mrs. Irwin was the daughter of the late Robert Allen Lawwell and Mattie Mae Claxton Lawwell. She was retired from Empire Pencil Co., Volunteered at Good Samaritan, former Volunteer with Heritage Medical Center, and was a member of Christ Lutheran Church.
Mrs. Irwin is survived by her husband of 66 years, Joe Leonard Irwin, daughter; Debbie (Archie) McKoon, of Shelbyville, siblings; Thomas Edward, of Columbia, TN, Ethel Mae, of Tullahoma, TN, Janie Burke, Gale Limbo, both of Shelbyville, TN, Jim Lawwell, of Halls Mill, Grandsons; Randall Lynn Haynes, and Ryan Lee Haynes.
Along with her parents Mrs. Irwin was preceded in death by daughter; Vickie Lee Haynes, sisters; Mary Lee Cartwright, brothers; James Avery Lawwell, and Robert Lawwell.
Memorial donations may be made to Christ Lutheran Church, Good Samaritan, or the Argie Cooper Library.
