TE Connectivity Closing Part Of Its Plant

TE Connectivity, formerly known as Deutsch Industrial Products, has announced it will close some part of its facility located on Airpark Drive in Tullahoma next month. The move will affect approximately 33 employees. This cutback combined with layoffs last October of an additional 33 employees, company spokesmen seem to imply that a total of 66 regular employees, plus as many as 20 temporary workers, will have been lost by the end of March as a result of the acquisition last year. In a letter sent to Tullahoma Mayor Lane Curlee last month from Jane A. Leopold, senior vice president of global human resources with TE Connectivity made it appear the entire facility would be closing and would affecting as many as 33 employees. The mayor stated that the letter saddened him.
