Samuel Wade Byars, age 84 of Hillsboro, Tennessee, passed away on Thursday, February 7, 2013 at the Bailey Manor in Winchester, TN.
Mr. Byars was a WW II United States Navy Veteran and retired from the Arnold Engineering Development Center (AEDC) after 28 years of service in the Electrical Department.
He was born in Warren County, TN, the son of the late Samuel Hand Byars and Ebbie Adcock Byars. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Herman Byars and sister, Pauline Byars Stadlin.
Mr. Byars is survived by his loving wife, Joann Carlton Byars of Hillsboro, TN; daughter, Tammie Byars Boyte and her husband Jay of Manchester, TN; son, Sammy Keith Byars and his wife Stephanie of Manchester, TN; step-daughter, Nicole Kitchings and her husband Buddy of Ooltewah, TN; four grandchildren, Lindsey Adcock, Trey Adcock, Keith Byars and Hunter Byars all of Manchester, TN; step-granddaughter, Katelyn Kitchings of Ooltewah, TN; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be on Saturday, February 9, 2013 from 5:00 – 8:00 pm.
The Funeral Service will conducted on Sunday, February 10, 2013 at 2:00 pm at the Central Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Benny Benjamin officiating.
Burial will follow at the Webb-Bluff Springs Cemetery in Warren County near Dibrell, TN with Military Honors.
