Threat At Warren County School

Warren County Director of Schools Bobby Cox

Some parents in Warren County said they kept their children home Thursday following a shooting threat made against a school on Facebook.
Bobby Cox, the Director of Warren County Schools, said more than 2,900 students did not attend classes Thursday, which is more than 40 percent of the county’s students.
The Warren County Sheriff’s Department said they know about the threat, are taking it seriously and are looking into the matter.
Officials said there is an increased police presence at all of the schools Thursday. No incidents have been reported.
McMinnville and Warren County law enforcement officers were posted at every Warren County school Thursday morning.
Principals were instructed to restrict who may enter the doors and be in the hallways. Some schools chose to go under lockdown conditions.
Meanwhile, state and local authorities are investigating the threat, trying to determine who posted it. Officials are not sure if the person is local or out of state.
Warren County Director of Schools Bobby Cox says Warren County Schools will again have heightened security Friday in the wake of the threat made Wednesday on Facebook.
