Man Accused Of Kidnapping And Abduction In Manchester Headed To Grand Jury
The man accused of kidnapping a Tullahoma woman on New Year’s morning was bound over to the March term of the Coffee County grand jury yesterday. Billy Nelson is charged with kidnapping and assaulting a Tullahoma woman from a Manchester business early New Year’s morning. After hearing testimony from the victim of the kidnapping as well as from Manchester Police Investigators Billy Butler and Stuart Colwell about the events of the night, Judge Jere Ledsinger bound the case over to the next term of the grand jury. Nelson is accused of abducting the woman and driving her vehicle around Manchester and then to Tullahoma where she was able to get away from him when he went into an apartment at Dossett Apartments. He remains in the Coffee County Jail under a $1.25 million dollar bond.
