Possible severe budget cuts could be coming to Arnold Engineering Development Center. Congress is working on budget issues that could bring cuts to the Air Force budget by as much as $1.8 billion. These possible cuts could create a civilian hiring freeze as soon as April at A.E.D.C. The Chattanooga Times Free Press says, Spokesman Jason Austin says there won’t be a significant loss of existing employees at the base. He says other planned cuts include cancellation of non-essential travel, flying activities and studies.
