Mark Lewayne Carter, age 26 of Decatur, Texas formerly of Lynchburg passed away January 29, 2013.
A native of Cullman, Alabama he was the son of Jackie and Tammie Carter of Lynchburg.
He was employed by Bird Oil Field Service in Decatur Texas. Mark loved spending time with his children and wife. He loved watching football, he was a big Alabama fan and the Dallas Cowboys. He loved to float the river, fishing, coon hunting and listening to his music.
Along with his parents, Mark is survived by his wife, Carla Carter of Decatur, Texas, his son; “Bubba” Jerry Ray Carter, daughter; Lillian Ann Marie Carter both of Decatur, Texas. His father and mother-in-law, Hoss and Mattie Prince of Shelbyville, grandmother, Retha Hams of Shelbyville, great-grandmother; “Me Maw” Mary Sims of Alabama. Sister, Kisha Carter and her fiancé Michael Swanson both of Lynchburg, sister-in- laws, Amanda Sherrill and her husband Shaun of Lynchburg and Lisa Howard and her husband Hanley of Lynchburg. Brother-in-law, Chad Prince of Shelbyville. Special cousin, Dwight “Jughead” Carter and his wife Ashley of Bridgeport, Texas. Several aunts, uncles ,cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 5, 2013 from 3-8 P.M. at the Lynchburg Funeral Home .
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. at the Lynchburg Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Forrest Bryan officiating.
Burial will follow in the Lois Cemetery.
