Crash Ties-Up Traffic On I-24 Sunday

The Tennessee Highway Patrol worked an incident involving two tractor trailers on I-24 westbound at mile marker 108 in Coffee County at approximately 6am Sunday morning. The fast lane on the westbound side was closed until approximately 2:30pm, causing traffic congestion.
The tractor trailer driven by Jerry Fletcher, 68, of Minnesota, had pulled over on the shoulder of the interstate. As he was pulling back onto the interstate, he was rear ended by another tractor trailer driven by
John Pratt, 41, of Murfreesboro. The impact caused both tractor trailers to go off the side of the interstate and down a small embankment. Neither driver was injured.
