Funeral services for Mr. James Michael “Shag” Mahaffa, age 62, of Manchester, will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Sunday, February 3, 2013 at Manchester Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Ralph Hart and Bro. John Bush officiating.
Burial will follow in Hopewell Cemetery.
Visitation with the family will be from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM on Saturday at the funeral home.
Mr. Mahaffa passed away on Thursday at Medical Center of Manchester.
Mr. Mahaffa was born in Manchester, TN, the son of the late J.C. Mahaffa and the late Mary Margrette Keele.
He was of the Church of Christ faith. Some of his hobbies included old cars, hauling junk, hot rods, and playing cards with Rook being his favorite.
He is survived by one daughter, Julie (Steve) Cobb of Tullahoma; one brother, Rayford (Yvonne) Mahaffa of Cannon County; one sister, Treva (Doug) Bundy of Manchester; one grandchild, Ciera Ballinger; one great grandchild, Kennedy Skye; special uncle, Mervin Elam; and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to Manchester Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses.
