Shelbyville police are searching for a man and woman who are believed to have stolen computer equipment and more than $1,200 worth of software from a Walmart.
According to a report in the Shelbyville Times-Gazette, the theft occurred late Saturday afternoon. The couple, along with an infant, were in the store again shortly after 5 a.m. Tuesday, Detective Sam Jacobs of the Shelbyville Police Department said. The list of items taken Tuesday was not immediately available.
Store employees reported to police, the couple, who had a young child with them, entered the retailer just before 5 p.m. Saturday before they took multiple items from the electronics department.
The pair reportedly moved to another section of the store to conceal the merchandise before going back to steal additional electronics.
Police reported the suspects fled with the stolen merchandise before they reentered the store about 30 minutes later and took additional items from the store’s electronics department.
The man and woman are believed to have left the store parking-lot in a gold van after staying in the van for approximately 30 minutes, possibly a Chrysler Town and County.
Anyone with information on suspects’ identities or whereabouts is urged to contact police at 931-684-5811.
