Last week Coffee County baseball player Justen Cooper and his family attended the Old Timers Baseball banquet in Nashville. Justen was invited to receive a scholarship. With 600 plus people watching, Cooper was the first baseball player from Coffee County to ever get this scholarship. Old Timers Baseball has been around since 1938.
Cooper has a 4.0 grade average and received a 33 on his ACT. Justen has been contacted by many schools but has not decided where he’ll attend at this point.
Cooper will be a starting pitcher for the Red raiders starting in March.
