Thomas Edward Allen, 21, of Blue Creek Road appeared before Circuit Court Judge Craig Johnson Tuesday and entered a plea of guilty to first degree meditated murder and theft over $1,000 in the murder of Meagan Ann McGuinn at her apartment on Harton Boulevard in Tullahoma.
According prosecutors, Allen stabbed McGuinn 25 times and took money from her. Allen will be required to serve a minimum of 51 years before being eligible for parole. Laura Pickering of the Coffee County Public Defender’s Office represented Allen. Assistant District Attorney Felicia Walkup was the prosecutor. Sheriff Steve Graves stated yesterday afternoon that Allen would be transported to the Tennessee Department of Corrections as soon as the state agency can find a bed for him.
