Imagination Library Event Is Feb. 8

The Imagination Library was founded by Dolly Parton as a vision to get a book in the hands of every child from birth to age five, at no cost to the families. Currently, just over 50% of our children in Coffee County are receiving books from this program. Governor Bill Haslam passed the Books from Birth Foundation which supplies part of the cost, but the remaining portion must be provided by the county. The cost to support one child each year is $13. This cost accumulates to approximately $24,000 each year to continue its service. This amount must be raised through donations from businesses and individuals in our local community. The annual event to raise awareness and money for this wonderful program is scheduled for Friday, February 8th at 6:30pm and at the Tullahoma Readiness Center (new armory) located on Hwy 55. Adult tickets are $20.00 and Students/Children tickets (12 & under) are $10.00. They are also seeking sponsors for this fun event.
