Mr. Richard G. Ray, age 77 of Morrison, Tennessee passed away, Monday, January 21 at Harton Hospital.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, January 25, 2013 at 1:00 PM at Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial will follow at Willow Mount Cemetery in Shelbyville, Tennessee.
Visitation with the family will be Thursday, January 24, 2013 from 5 – 8 PM.
Mr. Ray was born March 25, 1935 in Nashville, the son of the late Walter and Virginia Jenkins Ray.
He was a U. S. Air Force veteran and retired from UTSI. He enjoyed operating his Ham Radio and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter – Day Saints.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, David Wayne Ray and one brother, Tyron Quay Ray.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Jane Brown Ray of Morrison; two sons, Mike Ray and his wife, Patsy of Tullahoma and Pat Ray and his wife, Rita of Morrison; one daughter, Gayle Priest and her husband, Terry of Estill Springs; one brother, Philip Ray and his wife, Peggy of Murfreesboro; one sister, Patricia Shelton and her husband, Bobby of Fayetteville; four grandchildren, Steven Priest of Castilian Springs, Tennessee, Jennifer Priest of Estill Springs, Michael Ray and his wife, Jessica of Madison, Alabama and Dakota Ray of Tullahoma and one great grandchild, Trinity Ray of Madison, Alabama.
