Severe Crash On 41-A

Two area residents had to be flown to Vanderbilt Medical Center Friday afternoon after being involved in a traffic accident on Highway 41A between Estill and Tullahoma.
According to authorities, vehicles operated Sandra Mayes of Morrison and Betty Beatty of Tullahoma collided near Cook Road. Rescue personnel from Tullahoma, Estill Springs and North Franklin County worked for sometime to free the two women and to remove their SUVs from the roadway. Deputies from Franklin County Sheriff’s Department and the Estill Springs Police Department assisted Tullahoma police at the crash site. The wreck was investigated by Tullahoma Police Officer Rocky Ruehling.
