Funeral services for Gloria Dorothy Kay Perry, age 85, of Manchester, will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, January 22, 2013 at Manchester Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Danny Anderson officiating.
Burial will follow in the Manchester City Cemetery.
Visitation with the family will be from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM on Monday, January 21 at the funeral home.
Mrs. Perry passed away Saturday morning surrounded by her loving family.
Mrs. Perry was born in Coffee County, TN, the daughter of the late Sam and Lucy Angeline Conley Baker. In earlier years, she worked as a machine operator at PCA, Colonial Shirt Factory, Eden Industries, and Snow White Laundry. She was of the Church of Christ faith.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Francis Perry, who passed away in 1998; one daughter, Beverly Marie Cornelison; 3 brothers and sisters, L.J. Baker, Algrita Spry, and Henrietta Bush; and 3 grandchildren, Eddie Martin Brown, Ernest Fred Brown, Jr. and Gloria Marie Lewis.
She is survived by eight children, Michael (Teresa) Perry of Manchester, Dorothy Cox of Nashville, Kathy (James) Harris of Manchester, Marilyn (C.W.) Cornelison of Manchester, Rita (Ronnie) Smitty of Manchester, Francis Carol (Billy) Cox of Nashville, Brenda Walls of Hillsboro, and Patty Cox of Manchester; one brother, N.E. Baker of Manchester; 23 grandchildren; 47 great grandchildren; and 8 great, great grandchildren.
