Rikio Johnson entered into eternal rest on Sunday, January 13, 2012.
He was a 1978 graduate of Tullahoma High School and before becoming disabled, had worked at Rubbermaid-Newell as a machine mechanic for 24 years. He was an avid golfer, fisherman and bowler, having bowled on several leagues.
He was born on January 14, 1960 to the late Howard A. “Buddy” Johnson and Alberta Johnson of Tullahoma. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Albert Poff of Manchester, TN and hazel Vandygriff (Clifton) of Summitville, TN and William O. and Mozella Johnson of Tullahoma, TN.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by sister, Rene Pearce of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, devoted niece, Danielle Bachman (Josh) of Decherd, TN., loving nephew, Damien Morrison of Murfreesboro, TN., and the love of his life for the past 4 years, his great niece, Jenna Noelle Bachman, whom he lovingly called “Leon”.
He is also survived by his favorite aunt, Jody (Dale) Daniel of Tullahoma, aunt, Martha Brown of Woodbridge, VA, Sue (Terry) Pendergraff, of Warner-Robbins, GA., uncle, Jerry O. Johnson of Tullahoma and several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
It was Mr. Johnson’s wishes to be cremated and no services will be scheduled.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations to the American Heart Association, the American Cancer Society or the American Lung Association.
