Coffee County hosted Cookeville on Tuesday night at the Joe Frank Patch Memorial gymnasium in a pivotal District 6AAA contest. In a battle of District leaders, the Lady Raiders used a great defensive effort in the first half as they trailed by 3 points at the half. However, Cookeville opened the 3rd quarter on an 11 to 4 run and closed it out at the free throw line to get the physical 50 to 40 win. Coffee County was led in scoring by Katie Reid with 13 points and Alaina Lusk added 9. Katie Reid named the Gateway Tire and Service Center player of the game. The loss dropped the Lady Raiders record to 9-11 and 2-1 in District 6AAA.
In the boys game, a record breaking performance from Lance Crismond was not enough as the Red raiders fell by a final score of 69 to 58. Lance hit a school record 10 First National Bank 3 pointers as he finished with 34 points. He led a Coffee County offense that netted 14 three pointers on the night. Lucas Crismond added 10 points and Anthony Jackson added 7. With his record-breaking performance, Lance Crismond was named the Gateway Tire and Service Center player of the game. The loss dropped Coffee to 7 and 12 on the year and their District 6AAA record to 0 and 3.
