Goldie Grant Watkins Tomes, age 83, of Tullahoma Tenn., departed this life on Thursday, October 11, 2012 at Life Care Center in Tullahoma.
She was a member of the Christian Lighthouse Full Gospel Church in Tullahoma. Ms. Tomes loved to sing and play her guitar and had a beautiful singing voice.
She was preceded in death by her husbands; Edgar “Mutt” Watkins and Bill Tomes, daughter, Judy Mae Conner and several brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her sons; Bobby (Pat) Watkins of Tullahoma, Kenneth (Debbie) Watkins of Lynchburg, Randy (Patsy) Watkins of Tullahoma, Kevin (Peggy) Watkins of Shelbyville. 11- grandchildren and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Visitation for Ms. Tomes will be held from 11:00-2:00 Friday at Grant Funeral Services with the service to begin at 2:00. Bishop Willie D. Young, Elder Steve Powell and Evangelist Frank Elkins will officiate.
Interment will follow in Blanton’s Chapel Cemetery in Manchester, Tenn.
