1:00 p.m.- Creating Prehistoric Pendants=One of the many artistic creations Native Americans left us were elaborately engraved conch shell gorgets, or pendants. These gorgets help us understand different aspects of the cultures of this time. Join Cindy at the museum where we will create our own pendants similar to these prehistoric gorgets.
2:00 p.m.- Ancient Technology: Atlatl=Long before the bow and arrow, Native Americans had their own method for bringing down large game with the Atlatl. Join Cindy at the museum front lawn to try your hand at this ancient technology.
3:30 p.m.- Where did the Sun Come From?=Native Americans have worshipped and cherished the sun for thousands of years, but many often wondered how it got here. Join Cindy at the museum theater to here the ancient myth of how spider brought us the sun.
