Old Stone Fort State Archaeological Park

9:30 a.m.- Morning Walk along the Waterfalls= Meet at the park museum to join a tour of the three beautiful waterfalls that surround this ancient ceremonial site. We will start with the Step Falls of the Little Duck River then follow the Enclosure Trail to the Big Falls and Blue Hole Falls of the Big Duck River.
11:00 a.m.- Creating Ancient Indian Jewelry= Native Americans used earth’s natural resources in every aspect of their lives, including their jewelry. Meet at the park museum to make your very own wooden bead necklace similar to those that the Woodland Indians would have worn 2,000 years ago.
3:00 p.m.- Spear Throwing with the Atlatl= Join us at the museum lawn for this interactive demonstration of what Native Americans used to hunt large game 10,000 years ago.
