Alzheimer’s Association 17th Annual Caregiver Seminar
Don’t miss the Alzheimer Association’s 17th Annual Caregiver Seminar on Wednesday, May 16th at Motlow State Community College in Tullahoma. Over 100 caregivers and vendors are expected to attend and space is limited. Elder Law attorney, Timothy Takacs, will be on hand discussing “Legal Aid, Medicaid, & Estate Planning”. Mr. Takacs will lead participants through the pitfalls of negotiating powers of attorney, wills, Medicaid, and nursing home issues. Dr. Janice Ryan, occupational therapist, will present “Feeling Love is Therapeutic” and discuss ways to help those with dementia connect spiritually. Carol Whitten, owner of Psych-Services will talk about some of the behaviors associated with dementia and the medications we use. CEU’s and contact hours are available for some professions.
