Mr. James C. “Jim” Sherrell, age 81 of Manchester passed away on Sunday, March 4, 2012 at United Regional Hospital in Manchester.
He was a Road Sgt. with the Coffee County Sherriff’s Department and a member of Living Water Pentecostal Church in Manchester and he also served in the United States Army/Air Force in the early 1950′s.
He is the son of the late William Jordan Sherrell Jr. and Mary Cansada La Fevre.
He is survived by his wife of twenty three years, JoAnn Sherrell also of Manchester and four children: Loretta Toliver of Manchester, James W. Sherrell and his wife Kimberly of Manchester, William Jordan Sherrell and his wife Amy of Beechgrove, Tn. and Vaughn Konrath and his wife Kim also of Manchester. Mr. Sherrell is survived by four sisters: Ruth Ennenga of Knoxville, JoAnn Parker of Manchester, Sara Sherrell of Nashville and Barbara Pickens of Oakridge, Tennessee. He is survived by fourteen grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers: Charlie, William A. and Fred Sherrell. He was also preceded in death by one sister: Wilma Neal.
Visitation with the family will be on Tuesday, March 6, 2012 from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Living Water Pentecostal Church in Manchester.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 7, 2012 at 12:00 Noon also at the church with Pastor: Rick Clouse officiating.
Burial will follow in Fredonia Cemetery in Manchester.
